Looking for YOUR experiences on this one :D

Want to take another quick trip to New York for a weekend at the end of May ... Departing Wednesday/Thursday, back on Sunday/Monday :D

S0 ...

01. Would you take the flight back on Sunday night ? Or take the early morning flight on Monday morning ?

02. If I take the early morning flight at what time would I need to leave the Hotel near the World Trade Centre to catch a Cab to JFK or Newark ? I'm guessing around 5am [:(!]

Any personal experience would be appreciated :D

Thank you.

I would personally take the Sunday night option on say the VS10, it leaves late enough on the Sunday for you still to enjoy a full day doing whatever you so desire in NYC(last time I think we left Times Square about 5:30pm-ish) and then it gets you back to the UK at a decent time on the Monday.

If you catch the 18or26 on the Monday you only really gain 1 extra night in NYC, although you won't be able to party too hard with an early start (I would say 5am is abt right) and it then gets you back into the UK fairly late-ish and if you are at work the next day then not much time to get back into the swing of things/catch up on your sleep etc.

Its the way I would do it and I am sure others will have their own views also.

I'm always tempted to go for the day flight as I can't sleep anyway, but then I think I've just spent a lot of money on a hotel in NYC to leave at 5am and go to the airport. Then again, I always spend the Sunday doing nothing and just waiting for the flight, as I don't want to be all sweaty when I get on the plane. Normally end up at the cinema or something. It's a pain having to check out of a hotel at 11am and have 6 more hours before you leave Manhattan and head to the airport.
