Have I enough time?

It is unlike me to ask this question as I usually leave plenty of time btween connecting flights but right now I'm not so sure. I am booked on to the VS10 which arrives from JFK at 09:25 and am booked onward on to EI713 which is a summer season schedule and is due to leave T1 at 12:05. I doubt if it will give me any time in Revivals but even taking that out of the equation am I putting pressure on myself with regard to landing on time, taxiing, yomping from the gate, immigration, collecting baggage and trekking to T1 and the long walk down to where they hide the ROI flights? The next flight leaves at 14:15 and I am wondering if I am better off changing my booking to that flight?

I always tend to err on the side of caution when it some to connections. It usually leaves me ridiculously early at the airport, but when this means an extra hours or two in the CH / Revivals, it isn't too much of a chore.

A tight connection leads to a lot of pre flight stress and, if it is easily rectified, probably something you could do without.

I'd change to the later flight, so you can relax in Revivals, of course! Also better for reducing stress in the event of delays, as NN says.

Thanks guys. You've confirmed what I was thinking. I usually leave at least 3 hours between connections so I don't know what I was thinking of in booking the earlier flight. [B)] I think I confused the arrival time with the VS46. Fortunately I can change the flight for a fee and the fare is still the same - Û1

So HL I have a plan. Keep your booking and buy a new ticket too.

If you do not call a selected friend at a preplaned time, they cancel the first ticket (Pretend to be you or your PA). You lose the euro but would get the taxes back. Possibly a good way to hedge.

The one euro fare was on the return and the outbound to LHR has gone up in price since I booked it. I did look at booking a one way fare from LHR but it would work out at Û15 more than the change fee. In any case, I've already booked the change but thanks for the suggestion - and everyone else for the advice [y]
