Big doh! here. I just realised that I didn't receive miles nor tier points for a flight I took on the 8th of November last year. It's very annoying because I did receive miles and points for the return sectors which of course are attached to the same booking. It was an LHR to SYD trip so double dipping missed. Twice as bad.
Has anyone ever tried to beg Virgin to forgive this timing error and been granted their missing mileage and points? I think the missing miles claim limit should be increased to 12 months. 6 months is too short for stupid people like me.[B)]
I should note though that the bookings were originally made in N class but via Virgin Mates. Does anyone know if the fact that it was a Mates booking somehow cancelled out the ability to earn miles and points? I had expected it to earn because N still qualifies. I really will be annoyed because the price difference was only £20 between the Mates and web site prices at that time. The only reason I went with the Mates is because I stood a greater chance of an operational upgrade.
