Missing the miles from my flight on VS900 (mileage upgrade Y-J) last week, and the tool says I didn't fly, my FC number was certainly on the boarding card, anyone else having problems, I'd call but am still in Japan...

ISTR that upgrades have to be done manually for some reason. Unless you need the miles immediately, I'd just phone in when you get back.

In my experience this always happens, you do need to call to get them added. The explanations I have had, is that the system expects you to travel in Y, but according to it's records you did n't. It's not set up to then check other cabins.

Just drop them an email - for me it's usually been done within a couple of days that way.

I call does the job. Maybe write an email about how asking for the paid miles is a pain is the 'fat storage unit' and get some extra miles. Hell, UA and other airlines auto post them. I bet I could find a few good programers that could solve the problem for say 30 or so UCS returns in November 2007...

The explanation I had was that the problem is that the system cannot recognise you as having two different booking classes (i.e. G and a paid Y). When we recently did an upgrade the nice lady on the phone reminded me that I'd have to call to get the miles.
