The SFGate has this piece about VX first flights.

The SFC has this piece.

This is something of interest to us on this site...

Before leaving, Reid will try to win approval to link the frequent-flier programs of Virgin America and London's Virgin Atlantic Airways, Branson's international carrier, Branson said.

In the financial and operational sense, "We have to be at arm's length," Branson said. "At the same time, getting a frequent-flier program between Virgin America and Virgin Atlantic makes sense."

...naturally we wish Fred well with that particular quest! [y]

Thanks for that link Bazz, I was hoping for confirmation soon that VA and VS mileage schemes would link up, makes perfect and desirable sense.

Slink, I agree; I just hope it happens before I fly with VX in January, I could do with the TP(s?) and the miles!

Well if Reid can pull that off he will be a hero to legions. Thanks for that, Bazz.

If that happens, my Gold will really mean something to me. As it is I always fly UC, so Gold doesn't make a lot of difference. I don't care if I earn miles on FC, rather than Elevate, I just want the AU perks available to me.

I think it will be impressive is you can earn flying club miles, since with Virgin Blue Velocity you can earn their miles when you fly on VS, but you can't earn Flying club miles when you fly on Virgin Blue.
