Companion Availability

If VS site is showing no reward availability for PE for a given flight, does this also mean there would be no companion flight availability and upgrades from ECO > PE using miles on the same flight?

Flights are way off so might hang on a few weeks and see if any availability appears. Strangly enough there seems to be loads of PE availability on the flight out (MAN > MCO 18th July 2008) but no availabilty of PE rewards for the return at all in August 2008. Almost as if they have not released reward flights for next August yet!

Well, anything beyond mid-August, they won't have done yet, Grebo.

They only get released (at the earliest) 11 months out.

School holidays and the fact the dates have only just become available will no doubt be the reasons behind this. They will see how sales are going and then maybe release some, and with PE being very popular on the MCO route it might take a little while.

In the past VS has told me that all reward seats, including upgrades, are treated the same as far as availability is concerned. Which makes sense given that a seat is a seat is a seat.
