Who has invited you? If it's your boss and it's a work trip, then I'd stick with business dress. Otherwise, 'suitable attire' for a long-haul could mean anything from a suit through jeans and 'T' to PJ's so you can sleep.

Smart casual.

If you hold access yourself through an Upper class ticket or AU card then its up to you how you dress but as a guest it makes sense (and is polite) to leave your Wicked Willie t-shirt at home. The Clubhouse passes available from VH state 'smart casual dress' as an entry condition, though i dont suppose many people are actually refused entry based on dress unless they are wearing something particularly offensive.

Thanks,
Sarah

LOL Reminds me of a joke i once read;

Attorney: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
Witness: Gucci sweats and Reeboks. :D

Thanks,

Pink shell suit with the obligatory rip off D&G belt from "down market" and your best pair of whiter than white trainers.

Sophistication optional.

northanstar,
Welcome to V-Flyer.

There was a serious answer or two above -- seriously!

For my 2p worth, this may sound weird but I try to think of myself as a guest rather than "entitled" whenever visiting the Clubhouse. Even so I've never seen anyone in dress that seemed inappropriate.

No matter how you dress the CH is a real treat, to be savored like fine wine.

As a side note from my Gucci comment, I consider smart casual to be the norm for VA lounges, I have seen some people go for the "comfy" look which is very casual, but it has to be said these knowledgeable frequent flyers don't dress in comfy bright track suits and fake D&G sunglasses.

To true - and at the other end of the scale you will not see many people in full suits and ties. However, I've been through in shorts, flip flops, t-shirts together with very luxe accessories (when on the way to LA) through to normal wear for me which is sneakers (love that word) jeans, t-shirt and jacket (if on the way to NY and no immediate meetings on landing). I just don't get this "you have to dress up smart to fly" rubbish [B)]
