I just found this while browsing Virgin's website. I don't think it's been brought up before, it has a lot of extremely slow and choppy videos detailing the "new experience" for passengers in each class. It's a really slow website in general so I wouldn't bother visiting it unless you have a pretty good internet connection. But there are still lots of nice images and mockups of the terminal.

From a straw poll of people I've spoken to who've tried this, it would seem you need a pretty beefy machine to play this. On my MacBook Pro 2.33G, it's just fine - on a friends G4, it's a bit choppy. YMMV.

Does look very nice, obviously a huge emphasis on kiosk check in now for Y & W pax. I did have a little laugh at the "a friendly welcome host will be there to direct you", I wonder how friendly and how long that will last.

Site works fine on my crappy work Dell PC.

You know slot machines in Casino's in Vegas, when someone hits a Jackpot there are lots of flashing lights, sirens etc. Does the same happen with the Kiosks if you get an Op-Up?

Hm, maybe it's my college internet connection. I was able to download the FLV videos and they play fine when they're not on the website. It looks so snazzy, I love it.

I want to know if its really like second life over there now and you can just fly to the clubhouse :D

Whilst as a dragon, probably....

Nonetheless, looking forward to using it, should it open on time for the 2nd.

Looks very swish. One question though. Where is the friendly little 'Bouncer'?

And the 'cameraman' is a vampire too. As you look in the lift - no reflection! [:o)]

Just had a thought about this.

For those of us who pre-order our travel money from Travelex in T3 and are travelling in J or on a Au card, you will need to visit the Travelex counter before you check-in now as otherwise I think you will miss the land-side counter all together.

I've started picking up my money from the Travelex counter in T1 as soon as I arrive at LHR from MAN. The queues are often shorter.

Good point. I suppose there is nothing stopping you going up to Travelex and then come back down again. That way you still miss the queues.
