Hi everyone,

I'm travelling to Boston in December with a couple of colleagues, two of us are travelling in economy and one in PE.

My colleague in PE has decided that he would rather be in economy for the outgoing flight as he needs to chat to my other colleague in economy. [:w]

He has therefore asked if I would like to travel in PE on the way out and he takes my seat in economy.

Can this be sorted out at check in / do Virgin permit this type of change?

Cheers,

Ant.

I can't think of a reasonable reason why not, although I've never heard of it being done.

What has been discussed in the past is swapping once on board; which would appear to be ok as long as you inform the FSM.

If you go through the last security check at the gate together, and then swap barding pass stubs in the air bridge on the way onto the plane, how is anyone going to know that you aren't sitting in the correct seats? [:w];)

Ditto - the only check at the door to the plane is the boarding pass stub so no one would be the wiser?

I too would do what Nick suggested. However a note of caution here... post 9-11 there has been more emphasis on pax being in their allotted seat - not that I suggesting for one moment there is anything sinister with what ant_flyer wishes to do but I would follow Pete's advice and inform the FSM of the seat change.
