Can non-UC guest use new UC security?

Hi

The last couple of times we've travelled, I've been in UC (last time on Z, previous to that, G), with the OH in PE or E (yes I'm horrid aren't I ). The time I was on the G, they allowed us to get the OHs BP gold-FC stickered so she could use Fastrack with me.
However in April, when I was on a Z, they wouldn't have any of it, thus we both ended up using regular security, which seems ridiculous given I'm allowed to take her into the CH as a guest.

Therefore, with the new UC checkin/security, when we do the same this December (me on G, OH in Y), does anyone know the actual policy on whether we can both use the new VS security channel?

VS website isn't clear apart from if you're actually Gold (which neither of us are )-

"Plus if you're a Flying Club Gold member you and a guest can enjoy the Private Security Channel, even if you're flying in Premium Economy or Economy. Just remember to enter your membership number at the time of booking."

As it's very new, I'd give the FC a call.

Andy - Pete reported in the main thread about the new check in that you can take 1 guest through with you (as an Au card holder or flying in UCS)

Tell me more about this getting away with travelling in different classes lark? I think I'm going to have to do it in December, but think there will be a fight to the death over who gets the UC seat [}:)]
