During the summer I have a 2 month vacation on the west coast. I am there June 2nd thru Aug 5th.
I snagged G tickets there and back so am trying to rebuild my decimated mileage balance.
One avenue I am looking at it via Hertz or Avis. Via a 3rd party website I can get my var hire for 868 including taxes, fees and CDW.
I am trying to find prices on the Hertz and Avis websites but am encountering a few problems some of the regulars might be able to help me with.
With Hertz, using the flying club code, for the duration I can find a price of $1735 although this doesnt include insurance it does include taxes and fees.
But what self respecting mileage whore makes one booking when several can be made ?? [:D]
I can make several 7 day bookings, whilst this maximises the mileage earning chances, it also returns the price in but then does have the advanatge of having some insurance included.
Also by booking weekly, I can not always get an economy car whereas booking the whole thing as one, economy cars do show.
Any help, tips or advice would be very apreciated.
