Most of you truely "frequent flyers" who visit the United States on a regular basis may already be aware of this, but I just discovered on the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) web site http://www.tsa.gov/public/display?theme ... 198008370b that TSA now has approved certain "baggage locks" which can be opened by their staff. (See the last paragraph on the above web page.)
When I saw this, I checked with my local luggage purveyor and have purchased several of the approved locks so that I can travel with locked luggage. Each of the approved locks (combination settable by user) has a special symbol identifying its approval by TSA, and a "key hole" for use by the TSA staff.
It's nice to see that at least a small bit of security sanity is returning to air travel.
