Those darned entertainment boxes

Where are the IFE boxes on the different planes? Are they always under the window seats?

I'm 6'2" and if I get stuck with one of those boxes in front of me the journey is hell. Thankfully I usually only do NYC or BOS so I can suffer it for a while.

I cant answer for all the planes, but 747's the that have V port fitted have the box under seat G in the centre section. I believe this is only applicable to Economy, i did not notice any such box in PE. The box does take up lots of space, so opt for seats in another place.

Some of the V-port aircraft have had the box modified to make it smaller and less intrusive to the passenger.

The box is a different shape giving more space back to passenger.
