Yet another question I have.... thanks for all the help so far.
Been looking at buying 2 UC seats to New York for early next year, and looking at how that can be best done with various cards ( AMEX etc ).
However, another issue is now that I see that even though I will be paying for my partners flight, my FC account will not be credited at all - instead they must register and begin accruing points / miles with no sharing of them.
Similarly, I was considering treating my parents to a week in NY next year also, so by my reckoning I'll get no points / miles from that
In my case it seems it may be swinging me away from VS and instead to go with BA as their household account enables 2+ people to pool their travel together. Is there no Virgin equivalent? And, if there's not, can we pay for flights etc using points from *both* our accounts? e.g. if we have 40k miles each, redeem for one UC flight to NY ( 80k miles )
Thanks,
David.
