Sat watching this on the way over to DEL last Friday evening, noticed lots of VS placement:

- Flight number to New York - VS3 even though it was wrong as the scene was set at night and the 3 goes in the early afternoon (I need to get out more)
- VS staff visible in several shots, including the closing scene in the arrivals hall

Thanks,
Richard

Nope - its still there. The film is actually showing on the outbound flights on the IFE systems at the moment. In the IFE guides of what is on, there is a note in bold for Love Actually warning passengers that there is a reference at the start of the film.

Great film though - had me chuckling; though not quite to the extent when I was watching JackAss on the way to LAX, I had to switch it off as I was disturbing the other passengers. No matter how many times I see Air Horn golf....

Thanks,
Richard

Richard, I so want to try out that Air Horn Golf scene at my local Golf Club. The nice thing is it's right next to the river, so I could quite easily row up and not be trespassing! Just hope they don't aim the ball at me though - no tree cover.

Had to switch film off on MCO flight as it put me off my in-flight meal[xx(]

Heh, if you ever want to see a film with *massive* Virgin product placements in it, then watch "Dracula 2000". The lead girl works in a Virgin Megastore (with scenes set inside one), she spends a fair amount of time wearing a Virgin Megastore t-shirt, and there's a promiment fight scene with a van in the background that has a huge Virgin logo on it!

Calendar Girls did pretty well for VS too. AND they got op-upgraded!

There is some Brit film made about 15 years ago that finishes with the female lead waiting to board a flight in an old LGW/LHR clubhouse(before my premium flight time) with the big model galleon on the table in front of her.I think its the same model thats in or used to be in LHR clubhouse. I will have to pay more attention to the surroundings.Friends also feature SRB himself and virgin flights a couple or 3 seasons back.

Going back a few years I know, but does anyone remember the Only Fools and Horses "Miami Twice" Christmas special. SRB featured along with the classic Delboy line: "anyone would think he owned the plane!"

The first Austin Powers movie also had a far amount of VS product placement. VS also painted Autin Powers on the sides of 1 of their aircraft too - not sure which one it was though but I was on it when I flew to LAX. All the seat covers had the slogan 'Austin Powered'

Bump!

Not a very obvious product placement but the BBC News 24 travel show 'Fast Track' has a title sequence largely featuring the J2000 seat.
