Does anyone have any more information about the plane/configuration of VS 12 on June 24. Thanks for your help!

Hi

The availability tool shows
quote:[1] BOS LHR 24/1925 25/0655 VS12 J4 D4 Z4 W0 S0 K0 Y0 B0 L0 M0 Q0 X0 N0 [744]
so it was planned to be a non suite 747.

The following day's VS12 shows as 74S - i.e. suites.

I am a bit puzzled though as I thought Lady Penelope was the last LHR 747 without suites and it is reported on this site that she's gone in for a refit.

There is a possibility that Ruby Tuesday isn't suites - this plane was covering routine maintenance at LGW in April/May and I'm not sure it had suites before it went or whether it's been in since[?]. Pix is currently checking this out - see thread on two aircraft at a time in general discussion.

So it could be Ruby Tuesday, or one of the LGW 747s, or you could get lucky and get a 74s. Whether this really matters will depend on which cabin you're travelling in.

There are people in this community who will know much better than I do who might be able to give you a more definitive reply.

Sorry Freeway - didn't mean to contradict you - our posts crossed in the ether.

But I'm still puzzled - is it the case that FAB will have been in and out by the 24 June - PIX has just posted on another thread that Ruby Tusday is due back with suites that week.

Thanks for everyone's help. I am flying UPPER, so right now I am not quite sure if VS 12 is going to be fitted with the SUITE. Any other insight is appreciated!

Thanks again!

I'm also on this flight--it looks sold out in economy and pe, open in uc--what are likely results of this for various classes and card levels? If econ is full, does that mean some will be pushed up to pe--and if so what would be the hierarchy of who gets pushed up to uc? Have had good luck with this in the recent past but feel it's all been quite random--which doesn't stop the pleasure of a uc trip--especially fine if suites are in with Ruby T...

Many thanks,
Opus

Have a look at the 'upgrades' section from the main V-Flyer site. This gives the best guide as to how it all works.
