Last time I was at LHR Clubhouse and Arrivals (over a month ago), there must have been some problems with the soap dispensers, as all the shower cubicles had plastic bottles of Imperial Leather instead.

The Molton Brown Spa in Ba is really good ( I used it many times) But unfortunately it is always full.

Yes they give you MB Amenities.
However no haricut in BA and Food is pretty ordinary (Stale Sandwiches) and even in the F Class Lounge I remember the selection was pretty weak (some soup and sandwich, no proper meal unless you are in JFK/BOS etc.. for the PReflight Dinning) Even then the selection is pretty ordinary.

Food in the concorde room is a little better than downstairs 1st lounge but not in the same league as the clubhouse.

We waited about 15 minutes for a shower in the MB spa on a saturday lunch it was like you say very busy

I was blown away by the number of amenities in the VS Clubhouse at LHR. Free, excellent food. Free, excellent drinks. Magazines, newspapers, Internet, observatory. Massage. Haircut. Friendly people. All free. Just no comparison with any other club I've ever been in.

If they had Ivory dishwashing liquid in the shower I wouldn't have cared.

Regards to all,
Chuck-

Bazz,
You liked that one, eh? Well, the question was a good one and something for VS to aspire to perhaps. But man, oh man, for me there was nothing better (other than the flights, of course!) than sitting in the LHR Clubhouse drinking in all the tremendously clever service points and unique offerings while interacting with the great staff. Listening to the UK crew as they graciously answered all manner of questions from UC passengers, I had a new appreciation for just how civilized society can be when one sets one's mind to focusing on something other than one's own aches and pains (we rather make a hobby of our maladies here in the States, as you've seen). A bit of my love of the UK folks is coming through here, but so be it.

Being in the hospitality industry I am always on the lookout for something special in the way of food or service, and when I see them combined in a way that is all at once natural, sincere and elegant -- yes, I think the LHR Clubhouse is elegant -- well, it makes me feel really good. Guess that's why I'm a member of the forum.

Now, as for my choice of dishwashing liquid, the way I figure is that Mrs. Bazz and you will be tickled to check out my kitchen, just to learn which brand graces my undercounters.

Regards,
Chuck-

Chuck, all joking aside, what tremendous praise you heap on the staff and amenities at the LHR Clubhouse, echoed here by many I am sure! I do hope some of the staff who work there get to read your post. [^][^][^]

Now joking again, I wonder what mysteries lurk under you counters ;)
