If you're getting that info from the
LHR/LGW movements site, I've just had a look over that.
I only see G-VGAL being used on 15/16th July on VS19/20 so far this month, and don't see any other LGW 744s being used on the SFO routing - maybe just covering for a plane gone tech/maintenance? With G-VFAB out in refit at the moment, VS would be 2 planes down and I can see that that would screw up the scheduling. Can't really see any other reason since VS do say that UCS is definitely on the JFK/SFO routes from 1st July (subject to the quote at the bottom of this post

If G-VXLG is covering for an aircraft on an LGW route, then it sorta makes sense as it's the only LHR 744 without the UCS.
I'd also question some of the reliability of the information on that site - on the LGW movements, it still has VS53/54 (A343) being LGW>SFO when it's LHR>BOS
