VS005 / VS006

I will be flying London Heathrow to Miami 4th September(VS005) and returning Miami --London Heathrow(VS006)18th Sept.
I would like to reserve my seats in economy, but dont know if I will be flying 747 or Airbus.
Does anyone know what aircraft will fly this route on these dates.

There is a widget called the availability tool that someone could point you to. The other way would be to phone Virgin to book the seats. Their web site also has this capability (sometimes), but you'll need your booking reference.
