In this case would I be right in saying that if G-Voge is being refitted end of Oct and I'm due to fly on a 346 ex LHR-HKG on 25th Oct which is currently showing non-suite(i've booked middle seats row 6 going ;row 3 coming back) then that aircraft is probably VMEG which wil be converted by then.
(on reading this it probably sounds more complicated than I meant it to be !)

So may have the UCS on the 23rd or oct and not on the 2nd?
Strange this route is popular and still having part suite and part not?
Do u think my Seat will stay the same or if the plane will have UCS will it change, hope not mine booked is well good

Will the website update or not, my friends checking there flights online say that the plane is J2000 and not UCS and they are going to New York?

Hi Galgorm

erm ;) .....basically if you're on a 346 after 13 Oct then it'll have UCS cos they'l all be done apart from VOGE which won't be flying anywhere as it'll be in Dublin.

Hi Jonathan

Sorry i don't know much about the website or res or anything...I just get the planes between A and B :D Most 346 flts will be UCS now so you'd be unlucky to get a J2000 one.

Cheers

Hi Jonathan

There's only 1 non-UCS a/c left (VOGE) since VMEG went to Toulouse for its re-fit. There are no laid down plans for which routes do or don't get UCS 346s (other than JFK) so it's just luck really. At the moment VS200 on 2nd is a UCS a/c.

Cheers

My seats for my Honkers flight next year were booked in according to the old seating plan. Im sure the flight will definately be A346 with suites by then as the flight will surely go on to SYD.

Should i be getting a call from Res to change my seats, or do you thin i should call myself? Will they change the allocation for me, or will i be downgraded to someone with no allocated seat?

By the 13th October All A346 will be fitted so I say you will get %100 suite planes.

SYD will def be %100 suites.

By the time you wrote these replies you could have already called reservations and changed or booked your seats.

Like anything the seats are never guaranteed anyway but no one on here can book your seats so just call reservations they are waiting for your call!

HighFlyer As with Jonathan I never received a call from reservations [:(], although they did say that they were going to. Reservations also don't seem to take into account any seats that you have previously booked, (as previously mentioned). Say you have booked seats at the front and it changes to UCS you could end up at the back [V]. It seems to be a case of "pot luck" which is why they probably don't call you in the first place. It is easy to book your seats on-line, although, the seat maps may not have been updated. Mine are still showing as the old seats even though I was booked into the UCS over 2 weeks ago. If you do call reservations they are very helpful, although, the guy was really confused as his seats maps hadn't been updated either [:X].

Hi

Quick question please - booked on the VS45 LHR-JFK for June 17 2005.

Seat map shows a configuration of 6 UC seats across, we being in 1 A&C. I thought all flights to NY were UCS, or are still some going through refit. My return flights on VS2 from EWR show us on 6&7 A with a UCS plan. Can anyone enlighten me?

Many thanks.

I may be wrong, but I think only JFK is "guaranteed" UCS. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am :D

ALL 8 LHR 744 are now fitted with Upper class suite.

All flights to JFK and SFO are now confirmed as upper class suite.

Flights will change in the system in due course, your flight is in agees away.

The last A346 is being fitted with suites now, then the first LGW 400 goes in end of October.

So then all flights on A346 and LHR 400 will have suites.

There is another 600 to be refitted after the current one declan...

G-VMEG is currently in toulouse - G-VOGE will go to toulouse when MEG comes back, then all the 600's will be complete.

Hope this helps

My flight to hkg and return (25th Oct and 1st Nov) has now changed to UCS.:) I had already pre-booked off J2000 plan so phoned customer services to change my seats (after reaing archibaum's thread and checking availability tool). They told me someone had already done that for me (she actually said I had done it which was news to me). Anyway, used your seating plan to change them - no hassle. I must say I find thier customer service desk very good. I feel guilty when I 've nothing left to ask them !!
Small talk with guy at rugby match - Ulster beaten[:(!] Anyway, he flew UCS to SFO and thought it was brilliant - complained about lack of massage though.

what is the availability tool can i load it on a mac?

A quick search returns this useful thread amongst others. You probably can't use the downloadable one on a Mac, but you'll be able to use the online one :)
