Using my airmiles?

I have about 11,000 miles in account as it stands and, i'm going to LV in November, which will put another 16,000 on (i think? i'm flying PE) i have booked my holiday and it is all paid for when do the miles actually get credited to ones account, and can you use them the day you check in? So i could upgrade to UCS?[:I]

If it's a VS flight usually within 48 Hrs after the flight has landed. Can be less than that. Partner airlines are a different matter - can take weeks sometimes.

You dont get your miles until after you have travelled.

You cannot use your miles until they hit your FC account.

The exact amount for PE to LAS both ways is 15672 by the way!

Unfortunately you can't use them until you've earned them, and you'll need 20k miles to upgrade to UCS one way. So you'll be 9k short. And even on the way back you'll be about 1200 miles short still. The only suggestion is get earning now (eg via credit card spend, hotel stays etc..) to make sure you'll have 20k miles by your return journey.

Even then, there's no guarantees they'll let you upgrade with miles on the day, it all depends on availability. So you might want to start checking that too...
