Hello all,

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me with my cheeky question but here goes....

I generally travel MAN to MCO once/twice a year, earlier this year I booked PE in January during a sale (to fly in April) to then find it was heavily discounted again 2 weeks later - Luck of the draw I know however now I'm checking online everyday as I would like to book again and fly PE but I dont want to make the same mistake as last year.

Therefore I have a few questions:
Does anybody have an idea when these sales usually occur, I have booked during different seasons and I know they happen every so many months?
If the PE seats are reduced then reduced again like last January does this mean they are the PE downstairs seats rather than upstairs?

Thanks v much [ii]

P.S. Crew of VS076 give me a wave when you descend over my roof (very low)in Greater Manchester - You're my morning wake up call !!

Hi Hellsbells and welcome to V-Flyer.

Your question is a tough one. Like you said its luck of the draw, there are various PE sales throughout the year and MCO is one of the routes that does feature. I would say however that the possibility of sales for a busy period like April aren't too likely, it tends to be more the off peak months (Jan/Feb/Nov/Dec etc).

With regards to a reduced price meaning a seat downstairs then its a 100% NO. When you buy a PE fare, sale or full price you are entitled to a seat anywhere in the PE cabin providing it is not already booked. The price you pay has no relevance.

Hi Neil

WOW thanks for swift reply, I thought as much ! I did book in Mid January 07 to fly April 07 so I still have hope.....

They were discounted a few months ago in September but due to a family bereavement everything was put on hold - Now my family are starting to recover from our loss we are heading back to Florida to recouperate and have a well earned rest....
Oh well I quite enjoy logging to Virgin Atlantic everyday
THANKS AGAIN x

Past performance is never a guarantee of future events, but there is normally a reasonable sale announced either between Christmas and New Year or early in the New Year.

Nothing is concrete though - the dates, classes and routes often vary.
