I've just booked UC for my next MCO trip in May 2009 (did this via VH as I'm going to book hotels as well). Bearing in mind I had both my VS27 and VS28 flights 'cancelled' (i.e. merged with the later flights) on the day I turn up at the airport to fly, which resulted in my very near bumping down to PE, I'm more than a bit anxious to ensure I don't have this 'stress' again.

Unfortunately that's something you can never guarantee as flights can be delayed/cancelled/merged for any reason. Personally I wouldn't too much as there is nothing you can do about it.

Hi All, just opening an older thread here, but news from the heathrow press day I was at today, virgin currently are planning to refit the LGW fleet next year now, so nothing happening this year, but the whole plane will be done. Increasing UCS has not been decided, but there is likely to be more premium....... and research into an all new eco service is underway, seat included. (different to current new seat) .... oh and NEW IFE on the LGW fleet, goodbye to NOVA :-)) . Comment was that other finanicial and business factors may change this, but they are sticking with the metal they have in the short to medium term

Lets hope its worth waiting on. By the time they start some of the suites will be looking well past their best. Also hope they increase the j seats.

Just checked V.S website, about their PE product, and as another thread has mentioned that the website has had a bit of a face lift, it seems that they have changed the wording in their PE section.

It used to say that new seats were available from LHA and LGW would roll out from 2008.[y]

What it now says is, ' The new premium economy seat is available on all flights departing from London Heathrow except one'[?]

So no refits in the near future[n][n]
