Welcome to V-Flyer [;)]

What do you get for $40? Access to a very lovely lounge (take a look at the pictures in our Gallery) and inclusive premium food and drink (including cocktails) during your stay. There is also free WiFi and newspapers/magazines. Its a bargain if you ask me, you cant really compare the lounge to UA/AA et al. I dont recall showers at SFO though.

There is more detail on the VS Website

Thanks,
Sarah

$40? That's all - I totally agree with Sarah that is a real bargain! Peace and quiet, lovely bar and food, and comfort before flying. Definitely worth it.

The email I got from Virgin America promised :

Relax in a stylish retreat and unwind at the full bar
Enjoy delicious food
Plug in with Wi-Fi
Refresh with a shower

[?][?]

Also, I understand that the full premium food menu is only served 1300 - 1600, as the hot food is intended for pax on the VS020 - not Virgin America passengers, who are only promised 'snacks and sandwiches.'

Having said that, even if you are not there during these times, I still think that $40 is a great deal for CH entry at SFO.

Umm - there are showers at the SFO clubhouse. One in each (except one, from memory) of the toilets.

That aint a bad deal, especially if you are there at 'food times'. The SFO CH is one of the nicest and most relaxed in the group and well worth the price.

Bear in mind that about 6 years ago we paid about that in GBP for a Servisair lounge at LGW [;)]

Cheers!

plus newspapers, magazines, business centre and I think the big screen TV also has computer games to entertain kids.

As others have hinted at, users of the SH CH especially via the VX $40.00 deal are buying a hospitality experience. You sure could go and buy two beers and a good meal for under $40.00 at an airport restaurant but the food and booze is just the catalyst to deliver your hospitality experience.

I was going to say there aren't showers but I guess I must have used the toilet without one last week[:I]

Definitely worth it - relaxing, good service, nice view across the apron (OK that's one for us anoraks[:I])

Yeah, there definitely are showers - two of three restrooms have them as preiffer noted. And I've said many times that I love me the SFO CH - when I finally get round to flying V America I'll definitely be coughing up my dollars.

Have the Mojito - that's worth $40 by itself. :-)
