Hi guys,
Mrs. Clubman as some of you may have read on another thread was booked to ORD a couple of weeks ago when the flight got canceled due to 'maintenance problems' on the day.
After a lot of persistence on my behalf (lucky I went in with her) I got her transferred to a BA flight in WT+ rather then them downgrading her from PE to Y on AA or UA.

So, since it was VS that canceled the flight, is she still due the miles for the flight? in this case she had her BMI account details on the booking but that should not make any difference.

I also assume that this would be regardless of any miles she got with BA for that flight, correct?

If you look at the Flying Club T&C- you will find

3.5.1 If you are transferred to another VAA flight or partner airline, which differs from the original issued ticket, the mileage earned on the resulting flight will be credited to your account. However if you are involuntarily transferred to a non-partner airline, you may request miles for your original VAA booking, in circumstances within VAA's control. In this case you will be required to send in a cover letter to outline the original flight details, along with a copy of your original boarding pass and new ticket details, to your local Flying Club department.
