Family of four (2 adults 2 kids) boarded above flight at 1045am and took off at 7pm. Sequence of events reflect poorly on Virgin management (fuel management system; new pilot; new cabin crew; new food; awful communication). Crew provided letter on approach to LAX offering 10K airmiles per adult and 6K per child. Seems poor for over 19 hours on an aeroplane! Advice required on appropriate level of compensation, please.
Well legally i'm not sure you are entitled to anything because Virgin have fulfilled their requirement to get our to your destination on the right day etc etc. The best I would hope for is a few more miles perhaps.
Always planning a trip somewhere!
Thanks very much for responding. Just trying to gain an understanding of what is reasonable in such cases. There was another discussion virtuslly simultaneously re a 24 hour delay so I am now better informed. I just hope that V agree to credit my flying club account with the entire 32K miles as my wife doesn't have membership!
