My hubby and I have over 200k in miles and fancy spending them on a return UC flight.
Would love to go to Vegas again, but I'd imagine availability would be zero?
Can anyone advise on which routes might be our best bets?
New York, Vegas and Boston would all be at the top of our list?

If you want to go to Vegas and there is no availability on the LGW-LAS route why not use your miles to fly to San Francisco or Los Angeles and take an internal flight to Vegas? Flights on Virgin America from SFO to LAS are very reasonable.

I did NYC earlier this year on reward flights and availibility was very good. In fact I booked it less than two weeks out. If you decide on NYC try to get on the 2PM flight and spend the morning in the Clubhouse. Again aim to come back on the 21.45PM flight from JFK and spend sometime in the Clubhouse there.

As HL says - rewrad flights from LGW are hard to find at the best of times. That said I did manage to bag an Orlando one a couple of years in November.

Also travelling directly after New Year and avoiding school holidays will also increase your chances!

Good luck - let us know how you get on.

thanks guys, does that mean I can use the clubhouse for nothing with reward flights?
We have no dates or preferences so perhaps will just keep trying and playing with dates.

I agree with HL - Reward to SFO, then VX to Vegas. The advantages are that your have the LHR Clubhouse outbound then SFO Clubhouse and LHR revivals inbound. Plus - you can spend some time in the fantastic city that is San Francisco. [:D]

All UC passengers (except op-ups) get admission to Clubhouses and Revivals - you can also pre-book treatments, and you can take a guest into the Clubhouse.

This would get my vote too and what we did on our last West coast trip. We're doing a similar route in August but flying into LAX (for a car show) and out of SFO via Vegas[:D] with the trip from LAS to SFO with VX.

WE fancy going to SFO and vegas in the next year, having looked at prices ect, we will fly into SFO, rather than vegas.

personally, I would recommend using the late flight from LAX, as (for me) it means I can actually get a good sleep on the bed - I find that flights that leave in the late afternoon mean I am never ready to sleep before I land.

When we flew ona UC reward from Las Vegas I felt I never got the benefit of the bed.... that's also why I use PE from the caribbean...
