URGENT: T3 Chaos 15 Aug 2008

Hi, in the US travelling to JFK later to catch the VS10 back to LHR tonight. Just read on Yahoo about chaos at T3, with up to 6000 pax shut out of the terminal owing to s/w probs at check-in/baggage[:0].

Does anyone know if this is likely to affect outbound flights today to JFK, as I'm on a flight that should be leaving LHR today......

Can't get through to VAA in the US to get an answer [V]!

Terminal 3 update:
A computer problem which affected Terminal 3's baggage system last night has now been resolved and the terminal is operating normally.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to passengers.

According to a few sites nearly all VS flights have left on time today with no major delays ex LHR at all (The VS11 to BOS is the only a/c showing with a 45+ delay).

The VS9 & 45 to NYC both left only a few minutes late, so flights specifically to NYC seem to be all ok too.
