Security Fast Track at IAD

When I was last at IAD, after check in I had to wait in a hour+ long queue waiting to go through security. At the time I noticed that there was a fast track channel adjacent.

Does anyone know what criteria you need to meet to go through that particular channel?

Gold Cards and Business Class Passengers from my recollection. I can use it when travelling home via Virgin, but cannot when I am connecting onto United to Denver !

Oh the IAD line...

Well I use it bunches! If you have a shinny card, boarding pass and ID; try the 'Premium Passenger Security Line.' The agents that check you in the line are general employees and do not know about alliances. So if you have a UA boarding card and a VS Au card, try the Premium line. Works for me.
