My upcoming flight next weekend has been re-booked, into Q class back from LAX. It's been rebooked as two single tickets to reduce the cost.

I'm not entirely sure if this can be used to upgrade into PE with Miles.

I know N class tickets are not allowed. Not sure about Q.

Thanks

No, the lowest Y fare that can be upgraded with miles is an L ex the UK. You will be able to pay the difference between the Q and L and then use miles.

The Q class is ex-LAX. Outbound it's a Y.

It doesn't matter where you are flying ex, it is the country of Fare origin, so your Q isn't still upgradable . In any case, fares originating ex the USA is worse, as it has to be a B fare to upgrade with miles.

Thanks, already called Amex, and it's been changed back to a Y.
