Hello there,
I have tried searching forums for couples travelling together but with little luck - only 1 post re LGW 747.

We are taking our first UC flight together - into LAX and out of SFO and would like your opinions regarding best seats?

Pretty sure upstairs for the return flight is best option as overnight flight - having travelled upstairs before am sure this will be quietest for a sleep. Just not sure as to whether we should sit opposite each other (ie 6a and 6k) or better to sit next to each other (ie 6a and 7a). Having never flown UC before not sure of proximity of suites.

Any help with this and also the airbus into LAX would be much appreciated - we are intent on getting the best experience possible!

Hi Paul,

Did you not ask the same question in this thread a couple of weeks ago?

As I said before, if you have a search back through the general discussions/ask a guru forums there are quite a few threads about this subject.

Paul

I personally like upstairs, DW is less keen because exit from the aircraft is a bit slower. I liked it better when it was PE and UC, the UC service was better than downstairs, and I would simply excuse myself as I passed the slower members of PE getting their bags as I made my way to the stairs. Now its all UC it makes less difference.
DW is a nervous flyer, so we always take seats on the same side, next to each other, so 2A and 3A for example. That way she can reach over and grasp my hand during takeoff and landing. During the flight we will generally eat together, with me sitting on her ottoman.

Hope that helps. I do find I can sleep pretty much anywhere in UC, though I try to avoid the bar area. With the IFBT gone, the front end of downstairs is pretty good.
