I need to go to Delhi for a week in February or March 2009 and have begun researching the various options open to me.

The current UC fare sale is only valid for travel to Delhi before the end of the year.

Are VS predictable in so far as how many UC fare sales they have each year and the timing thereof?

Does anyone know (from past experience) when the next sale is likely to be?

Thanks in advance

BA's current sale includes travel to Delhi before 31st March 2009, though frankly I am not keen on a bed in a dorm where I will only have the privilege of choosing a seat at T-24! My second choice, should VS fail to offer something closer to 1400 is Qatar at 1100

Welcome to the site.

VS sales are a bit of a moveable feast. They come along pretty thick and fast, but all vary; with dates, destinations and classes changing with each one.

I have never really watched the Delhi sales, but there is usually a fairly major sale early in the New Year, whether this will include the routes, classes and dates you are waiting for, I have no idea unfortunately. Maybe regular travellers to the Sub-Continent can assist.

If you are tied to dates and you see an airline with a price you like, the moral may be 'go for it', it is your call. [8D]

Hi,
I go to Delhi twice a year (March and October), and have never found the sales in UC predictable!I usually pay between £1500-1660 each time. There is of course much more competition now in the form of Jet Airways[y], (UC seats very similar)so maybe we'll see more sales.
I plan to go in March, possibly first week; so we might meet up in the clubhouse[8D]
