After a 2 year break from VA decided to go to LAS for Christmas. Booked for 171208 to 261208.
Checked in online for 17th at 4am recieved text, flight cancelled no reasons, no follow up instructions.
Still saved a costly trip to LGW, anyway arrived at LGW next day 181208 to check in only to be told that aircraft had been hit by food truck and was not departing today. Staff explained there might be two flights on 19th try again.........SORRY.
Well it could only happen to me.
We did get out on the Saturday luckily very understanding hotels (Monte Carlo and Ceasers) did not impose ANY charges.
Had a great stay weather cold but who cares when in Vegas.
Good flight out eventually, and return on 26th what a difference, staff very unseasonal, ratty, and non Virgin like, very little customer service. Shame, still I suppose they were working at this time of year. Was anyone else involved in this fiasco?

There is a long thread here about the various Vegas cancellations and delays caused by the weather etc.
