PE upgrade to UC - VS018

Hi there - flew out to EWR to LHR on a Z fare last week.

Coming back we're booked on an S fare. VS18 on Mon 5th

Expertflyer is showing J5 D5 R5 Z5 W0 S0 K0 Y1 B1 L0 M0 Q0 X0 N0

Is an upgrade out of the question...?

Did you want to upgrade with cash or miles? Or do you mean the possibility of a free bump to UC?

You are on an S fare so you can likely upgrade yourself with miles if you wanted to, though as the PE cabin is full it might be possible that VS may bump a couple of passengers to UC. You never really know and there are no guarantees (as some of those PE pax may not show up on the day) so I guess the best advise is that if you want to shift upfront, offer your miles/cash now, otherwise take your chances.

As Sarah has just said, you should be able to upgrade using miles or cash. I'd give them a bell before others jump in front of you!

If it's an op-up question then that depends on a couple of things. I don't know if you're a Au FC member, if you are that will be a plus for you. Also the S fare is in your favour (but not as much as a W). One last thing, you said we're booked, so I take it you are not on your own? Now I'm afraid that's a negative for you if you're not alone.

As Sarah said 'you take your chances', but enjoy your flight whatever the outcome.
