Wooh! I've just secured to G class reward flights to MCO on 26/11, albeit on the VS15 rather than VS27, but from what I hear they are a bit like goldust....as were the return flights from Vegas where we will end up. The chances of them coming up were minimal she said, so I will try Virgin USA to SFO internally as I have also secured G class home from there!

Had to pay 1292 in taxes for both of us, but for 2 Upper Class return tickets, cannot complain!

Nice work [y]

We've also been the bearer of G's to MCO, and in a post elsewhere in the forum I found dozens of G's to MCO during the Jan-April period. Not exactly ideal for families, but G's can be found on this route if you are flexible with dates.

Thanks,
Sarah

Ummmmm.... HOW??!? [:?]

Taxes/fees/surcharges are GBP 339.70 each on an SFO return.

Spot on...I had wanted the Saturday (silly idea, I know!)but as we can be flexible we moved it back 2 days. Checking the web site there is still some availabilty for the lsat 2 weeks in Nov., a few days in October and early December - worth a hunt!

I've been 'ad perhaps! I did ask if this was the chapest Economy fare to upgrade and she said it was, into MCO and out from LAS. Is this not the case and is it worth getting back on the phone (for 45 minutes waiting time!...)?

So you bought an upgradable economy fare and then upgraded with miles to a G and not an outright G reward fare? If so then it sounds about right I would have though, I had £900 is fares/taxes for 1 outright G and one L upgraded to a G last year.

Yes that's exactly right - sorry for the confusion. Brought EC so I can get some mileage/tier points and paid the charges/taxes to upgrade (120000 miles for both of us return). Glad you don't think it is too extortionate!
