Hi,

We are travelling UC Man-Mco on the 13 Feb,10.30am Returning 23rd Feb.18.30pm My wife's uncle has just passed away suddenly, and we want to take our Aunt with us for a break. Does anyone know what the availabilty is in all classes on those dates.

Also who do Virgin use for car hire at Orlando, we are booked with Alamo through Holiday Auto's and was wondering what type of queue we might face when we arrive.

Many Thanks in anticipation,

Steve

Unfortunately, EF shows your MAN-MCO VS75 as full in all classes; but there are seats in upper and y on the later flight VS73 at 1.30pm on the same day.

Your return has one seat in upper only.

VS and VH use Dollar for car hire. More often than not there's a queue for all the car renters in MCO.My advice would be to make haste off the plane.

With regard to the queues at the Alamo counter in Orlando - I have generally found them to be fairly short. On my past 3 trips I have always waited under 5mins to be served. Last November there was a delay when I was being served as Holiday Autos had not passed the booking onto Alamo, so it took them about 10mins in the back office to sort things out.

It's fair to say there will be quite a few Virgin Holidays customers on your flight - and they will not be heading for Alamo for their car hire. You'll be off the aircraft pretty fast as you're in UC. If the flight is on time, it is the first long-haul arrival from the UK, so you should have a quiet immigration hall and be through fast. Fingers crossed, the queue at Alamo should be short.

Also remember, there are Alamo desks on both the A and B side of the terminal. If the queue at one desk is long, it may be an idea to send another member of your party to check out the queue on the other side. (The train from the satellite terminal brings you out closer to the B side - you only need to go to the A side of the terminal if you re-checked your bags after Customs, as they will emerge on a reclaim belt on the A side).

Thanks for all your help everyone,I will try and get my Aunt on an indirect flight.

Just one more question ? Is the Upper Class cabin on the LGW/MAN routes in good condition, we have requested rows 6 and 7 for a party of 3.

Regards,

Yep the upper class cabin is in good condition on these a/c and those seats are great as all close together and you can talk across the aisle without having to shout.
