I changed from QC2s to QC3's last year - wish I hadn't. Maybe it's the fault of my head shape, but the 3's are nowhere near as comfortable as my 2's were... [:(]

Although, your ears don't get as hot & sweaty with the 'on' rather than 'over' cups... [:w]

A solid QC2 fan here, like Paul the 's just were not comfortable for me.

Now a cheaper option, Able Planet have some good ones and they sell them at WalMart.

After Sales Service with Bose is top notch [y][y] My QC2's developed a fault and were replaced free of charge

Had the exact opposite experience to you I'm afraid. Even after weeks of email exchanges, Bose wouldn't even budge for me as I'd lost my original receipt when my QC2's broke so they refused point blank to do anything other than sell me another pair at full price. I wont be buying Bose again [n] [n]

Going back to the original post tho, was looking to spend in the £100-£150 range, thanks northenhenry for your suggestion. Any others in this range??

The case for the Audio Technica also fits my square shaped nano & small in-ear earphones (for general use), and a spare AA battery, although you're going to need a few long hauls before it needs changing.

I am surprised and sad to hear about your support experience. I have heard many good stories, and yours is the first negative experience I have heard off.

Where did you buy them ? Is it worth asking for a paid repair ?

Popped into the Bose shop on Regent Street at the weekend. Both were excellent in blotting out back ground noise without having to crank up the volume, also both very comfortable.

i said to the sales assistant the issue is how comfortable over a 8hours transatlanitc flight wearing them non stop. He said they understand that issue and offer a no-questions 30day return period so you can test them thoroughly.

Thats good service to me.... [y]

Unlike Paul, I find the QC3s to be very comfortable, but I know this to be a matter of taste. I also have had excellent service from Bose, twice.
