Indeed it is bad news!

I even had metal cuttlery on Etihad airways over xmas (on a non UK leg) and that was in economy class!

it makes such a difference to the whole eating experience, and you really should have it in Upper Class.

If I get picked out for one of the random questionnaires on my next VS flight I'm going to make sure I mention it!

The UC metal cutlery was for sale in the staff shop as well so there are certainly a few VS employees who have a full set.

In the past, VS have pledged to reinstate metal cutlery in Upper Class if/when it was allowed so definitely watch this space......

UK was beginging to stick out as a non-user of metal cutlery for inflight catering, and lets face it, there were other things that were potential weapons anyway. The rules on what will be allowed are pretty specific to minimize the threat. The theat is still though.

Bet lots of airlines did get rid of their cutlery, fortunately where I work they didn't!

Glad to see it coming back, then front end of the airplane nevers seemed right with plastic.
