Remember you can't book them/reserve them, you can only make a request.

I don't know what Washington loads will be like but for our last MIA - LHR flight in PE there were x 3 babies for x 2 skycots.

How come with BA if your travelling with an infant you can actually go on line reserve your seats and do on line check in

Travelling with kids is stressful why do Virgin add to this stress by discriminating (or is that too strong) against passengers with kids in particular infants.

I would much prefer to be travelling to Heathrow on the day of our flight knowing we are all seated together and not become the family from hell spread out throughout the cabin because most other passengers would have been able to use on line check in and because we will be a party of 5 requiring 4 seats by that time it will be difficult to accommodate us in what is a relatively small cabin, and what really grates is to find an adult with no infant occupying the cost seat !!!!!!!!!!!

I thought you had to have high status with BA to reserve (request) seats. [?]

If there are three babies and only two bassinet positions, it is hardly discrimination - more like simple maths. [:D]

Whilst I, like you, always tried to plan ahead when travelling with a child. I think you have to accept that VS try their best to have families seated together; and try to have families with babies sat in bassinet positions, but the allocation of these seats won't be set in stone until the day of travel.

Nick - BA allow people travelling with infants (and full fare peeps) to preselect seats (link here). I guess as a non parent my question would be why BA discriminate against non-parents in such a blatant fashion?

So, to pre-select BA seats, your choices are:

Get a silver / gold card.
Buy a full fare seat.
Have a baby.

Tough choices. [:D][8D][:w]
