Does VS and VX exchange crews like VS/Virgin Blue?
Asked the FA. VS does not have an exchange program currently but is planning one to exchange VAustralia/VS/VS/Virgin Blue FAs.
I doubt we will see a VS/VX exchange as the employment rules in the US are much more complicated than in Australia. UK citizens can work in Australia for upto 12 months on a work visa.
I dont think there's anything similar in the US is there?
I think even though this is a job exchange program, VS still has to comply with international employment rules.

They could do an L-1 visa though for intra-company transfer (as related business entity). Member of staff in the UK would have needed to work for VS for over 12 months in the last 36 months if I recall.
But they would visas based on an intra company transfer/related entity cause issues with other business matters?
I don't think so, sure they could swing it as beneficial to both parties. It can very detailed very quickly, I suppose some of it would depend where the wages are being paid - I worked over in our US office on an internship for 2 months in 2001 without a Visa.
I asked this same question on my VX flight last year -the answer at the time was no. On my last VS flight in March one of the crew said that secondments to DJ had been suspended indefinitely for the time being.Don't know how true this is.
