Hi there,
I work for a company which requires me to fly from UK to Dusseldorf on a regular basis, approx every other week.
All of our travel is booked through a corporate travel desk but we can request certain routes, times etc.
I can fly from LHR, BHX or BRS quite easily from my location.
My company uses Lufthansa as it's preffered carrier, but it is not exclusive.
I have used both them and BA to make the journey.
BMI (who are Virgin partners as you know) codeshare on some of the Lufthansa flights from BHX, but I am only allowed to book Lufthansa and not BMI.

My question is:
Is there anyway I can fly these routes and collect Virgin FC miles and tier points?

If you need anything else from me or I have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Regards
Tim

Can't see how you could possibly earn TPs unless you booked with BMI.

On miles, one way to look at this might be to join a FF scheme which allows you to spend miles on VS flights, such as BMI or Singapore Airlines, while earning from Lufthansa [:?].

The only way I see would be VIA BRU or AMS on BMI so that you get the 2 tier points for that flight then connect up to DUS. You can only collect tier points on a VS or partner flight so LH wont help you here I'm afraid.

Thanks,
Sarah

Cheers both,

I guessed that was the case but never mind.

Thanks for looking anyway.

Good news is that a work trip to Dubai is on the cards and I can fly VS UC on that route!

In terms of Frequent Flyer membership I currently have:
Ag with Lufthansa-Miles and More thru their Oil and Energy Club
Blue with BA (but close to Ag)
Ag with VS FC

I may take Slinkys advice and enrol in the Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Program and then earn miles on Lufthansa flights to try and get to AU with them.
