So,

Starwoods gives a 25% bonus on each 20000 points you transfer. So if you transfer 20000 points to FC you get 25000 miles.

Question is, can I move my Amex MR to starwoods, and then move the starwood points to FC and thus get a 25% bonus.

That would net me another 30000 miles. :D

That sounds like a wonderful idea Sky but I doubt the theory can be put into practice, unless someone knows better?

You can convert from Amex MR -> Starwood, but the ratio is 2:1, so your 20,000 MR become 10,000 Starpoints. Better to go direct from Amex -> FC.

Oh thanks Pete! I missed that the ratio is 2:1.

Thought I might have missed a trick there [:(]

Amex to FC has been very kind to me this past year and with a corporate Amex earning for me as well it is just great.
