Upgrades

Hi...this is a silly question....but i hope i get i replies.... my return ticket from lhr-bom is in mid nov....i will be flying by Premium Economy, K-class. i want to get a free upgrade to Upper Class. any suggesions? i have only 6k flying miles with me.

The question you ask isn't silly, but I don't think you will get the answer you are hoping for.

I am not saying that it won't happen, but if you read this section of V-Flyer. you will see how upgrades are obtained.

There is very little chance of a free upgrade with a K class ticket unless PE and/or Economy is very oversold! I had a K class ticket to DEL and even though I am a gold FC member and was prepared to pay the 20k miles they still wanted over a 100 quid to upgrade outbound and would not upgrade inbound despite PE being oversold.

The BOM route I think is very similar to the DEL route in that its really difficult to judge numbers but UC usually fills quite quickly.
