When I first saw this I thought yay but having read the text I am not entirely sure quite how good the news here is.

Children still cost an adult fare in miles and they have always been cheaper (cashwise) in the M&M department. So I guess the only difference is that you can now book online which is kinda nice but apart from saving 1k miles per booking is hardly fantastic.

Sorry to sound a bit dull [:#] - especially on a Friday - but it is hardly the revolution that we as a 2+2 family would have liked.

Agree with BuffyTVS65 the changes will make very little difference (we are 2+3). Would be nice if they reduced mileage for children's rewards in line with children's fares. (I believe other airlines 'charge' reduced mileage for children)

Not sure about the infant miles being reduced - I thought they were always 10% of the adult mileage.

I was hoping it was a Singapore style 'Air Nanny' to keep the kids entertained:D
