Delta Lounge - MCO

Now - before you all run at me and beat me with sticks - I'm curious to know what their lounge is like in Orlando. Am flying back from there UC and I see the lounge is Delta, - clearly no clubhouse there. Anyone used it? What's it like?

I used it once nearly 2 years ago. I remember it being very beige!

Other than that, it's a regular US carrier lounge (just like UA/AA etc). Drinks, not much food (snacks/biscuits etc). It was quite light though - big windows.

Let's hope they've jazzed it up a bit then. Have a feeling I'm going to feel more than a little cheated....[:#]

If it's any help, here are the images the contractor that worked on it put up.

Although I don't remember it being *quite* so bold in colour... [|)]

we used it in January.
Its an OK lounge, with free booze and a little clubby feeling to it.
No food available and no food allowed in so you have to go downstairs to eat.
Pictures here go down the page a bit and the piccys avialable.
I gather that wifi is now available in the lounge.

Yup, just to continue what Alan said, wifi is available and free in the delta crown room. The drinks free along with a few nuts but thats about it.

The only consulation is you are pretty much guaranteed a seat unlike at the gates when there are 4 full 747's waiting to depart along with the solutery ba 777.

I would say that the pictures do not represent the lounge very well. Essentially they have a free bar, nibbles (which are very poor actually) and is usually fairly busy, although a whole heap better than the BS SLC area. They used to have two PC's for public use in there which have been removed recently.
They have two or three TV's around usually turned up pretty loud, but there is a 'quiet' area in one of the conservatories. Loads of secluded desk space if you need to work.
No showers but some fairly large 'loos' if you need to get changed or anything.
It is airside and pretty close to the virgin gates.

All in all the lounge is OK to kill the time you have to be there, but don't get there any earlier than you need to.

Do you remember a couple of years ago Ikea had that advert with the catchy little song "Chuck out your chintz!"

Well apparently everyone did, and Delta bought it and either used it for the lounge at MCO or as inspiration for the interior designers. [:$]

We were there a few months ago. The lounge is nice, its large, airy lots of sofas, nice selection of drinks, good quality cocktails. The nibbles were a bit rubbish - the cheesy things scared me. Its away from the crowds, its quiet and relaxed, its better then ServisAir but it isn't a patch on the CH.

I quite liked the lounge, sat in theconservatory quiet area watching the aircraft and the mrs getting the beers in at the bar:D

I remember the lounge being cooler and thus more comfortable than the main terminal.
