In all the publications I have read, all the airlines have made great noises about the A380 but I have yet to see anyone tell us the seat pitch they are going to offer in ecconomy. I would be very surprised to see anything different to existing aircraft seat pitch which is leg numbingly tight. I can only expect to see 600 people uncomfortable instead of 400.
You're right that details have yet to emerge, however what we do know is the A380 has loads more floor space per passenger than the B747 (something like 30% IIRC).
What we dont know is how much room the "extra's" will take up, but assuming they dont take up too much room, then there should be more pitch in Y.
We'll find out what SQ do next year - this should be a good guide I would have thought....
