Thats a lot of money for PE,next time you book look at the prices direct from VS,

To be fair, could well've been a timing issue (i.e. lower fare classes sold out already). For example, on the VS website, PE comes back at the following prices for LHR>SFO return (lowest fare selected):
o/b 24/12/05 i/b 07/01/06 = £1,342.90
o/b 18/03/06 i/b 01/04/06 = £1,271.90

To reference LGW>MCO same dates:
o/b 24/12/05 i/b 08/01/06 = £1,236.30
o/b 18/03/06 i/b 01/04/06 = £918.30

This is a new thing though.....

Cheers

When you buy your LGW clubhouse entrance from Virgin holidays, you now get the treatments as well!

So, £2,000 for a seat and clubhouse, or £35 for the clubhouse and £800 for a seat and possibly as good a quality food in PE??

I was the "poster" in question and yes, I can assure you I am to be believed! And we actually paid over £1200 each for our seats!

Hi Gilly and welcome to the V-Flyer forum :D
My point about the £800 was the cost difference between economy and PE or Economy and UC

Yes that is a good move by VS Mike, but im trying to justify to the FIL why he should spend the extra$17-$18k on VS over BA for the same product,of course there is no way I can do it,just sems very strange to me that the price difference is so out of line,of course $100 here or there I can see,but not that much.

WOW - They listened to my feedback on the Virgin Atlantic site Pop Up questionnaire :D

My other request, being able to select specific fare codes, will obviously also soon be implemented[:w]

A new thread has been started, specifically regarding the Price Guarantee.

Please keep future discussions relating to that in here.

[V]For goodness sake don't tell Alan, that this evening, I've seen there's unused Clubhouse invite vouchers for sale on a certain on - line auction site staring at just 99P :D

We'll never here the last of it :D:D:D:D:D:D

It's OK Alan, calm down...

I don't want to dash the hopes of anyone on here if they were thinking of using either this or this, but neither will get you more than 1" inside the door.

The "invite" is nothing more than a glossy map/picture and will provide no entry whatsoever. They check your eligibility based on the passenger list, VH voucher, or Amex/Gold card status as you approach the lounge. I have loads of these paper things at home, all entirely useless.

Ooooh I say. Looks like a V-Flyer is clearing out unwanted / duplicate UC stuff and making a few quid out of those who aspire to UC.
