HIYA,,,

It's me again with my confusion of what plane I will be on?
I have used expert flyer and put in what availabitily is on my flight and it brought up the seat map of an A340-300 but on the Virgin website when I take a look at my bookings it shows me on that seat map that I am on a 747 and upstairs?
Now I am confused. I am also panicing a bit as I thought I would be on a UCS plane and from what I can gather the A340's don't have this rolling at the mo?
Can someone ' in the know' quash my neurotic state of confusion...i think this is about my 3rd post on this subject!

By the end of this month 4 a343's will be fited with ucs leaving only one of the a343's that are going to be fitted with ucs left to have ucs put in.
hope this helps

Hi Sue,

Some of the -300s have UCS (three?) and it to some extent depends on where you're going. If you're travelling to Joburg or India you are more likely to get an aircraft with more powerful engines which increases your chances of getting UCS.

I would tend to trust the Virgin site as a starting point, they may however switch the aircraft due to operational reasons closer to the time

VS011 shows a pretty mixed split of planes used in the last 3 months

340-300 - non suite 26%
747-400 - UCS 27%
340-600 - UCS 34%
340-300 - UCS 11%
and even 1% on a LGW/Man Suite 747-400

Majority of the 747's used have V:Port (exc the LGW/Man which is Nova), likewise all 340-600's have V:Port. 340-300's which are suite will have Odyssey IFE in all probability.

Just keep checking the Virgin site to see if they switch it

Hopefully one of the guys with better access to the schedules will pick your note up and be able to offer a more detailed answer

hope this helps (a bit)

Sue - Is it safe to assume you're referring to your flight to BOS on VS011/17-Dec?

If so, ExpertFlyer is currently showing the following, confirming the VS website details:

LHR
17/12/05 02:30PM
TERMINAL 3

BOS
17/12/05 04:55PM
TERMINAL E

VS11 / 744
LS, LS, LS

7h 25m 3267

ie: a 747-400

I have to say, all of the recent VS11 flights I've been on have been a 747-400, too.

Sorry, as I hadn't noticed your countdown ([:I]), I wasn't quite sure where you were going, so that's why I was unable to be much help.

Cheers,
