Hi Guys, it's that time again. My daughter wants to take the kids to the Mouse[:0] She also want's us to go with them[:?][n] My question is given that 3 of us have 40000+ miles in our accounts what is the best/cheapest combination we can get? Ideally we want to go PE.Oh and by the way there are 7 of us 5 adults and 2 kids. Any suggestions or options would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on time of year I would first suggest MPM, but as you mention there are some kids involved I guess this means you want to go on a school holiday which probably means these are not great.

With 120k miles you can have 2 x Mileage Only so these will be about £130 (taxes only) each.

Give us some dates and I am sure this will open up options.

Also, I have recently found that PE to MIA CAN be cheaper than MCO, would you be willing to fly to MIA and drive to MCO?

100k miles gets all 5 adults upgraded to PE from an L class; leaving the kids down the back [}:)][:w]

The dates as you inferred are during the school hols. We are looking at around Aug 22 for 2 weeks. I have tried every which way using the miles I could find. But it still comes up costing an arm and a leg[:(]
It even works out cheaper booking the lowest price PE fares for all of us then booking upgradeable Econ fares and using the miles! And of course VH is out of the question because they want 2 arms and legs. Miami is an option but it means flying from LHR doesn't it?

ITASoftware is showing S class availability to MIA for £1177.50 per person (although I think you need to add another £20 tax). This can then give you a companion seat for 30k mikes. Essentially meaning that per person the cost is approx £660 including the extra £20 and the 2nd person tax.

How is that for starters?

Dave - is the goal here to do it as cheap[i] as possible (ie: in Y), or to get the best [i]value seats on the flights?

Book the whole thing with VH - use the UCS and PE deals they have at the moment and then tuck the miles away for later use for somewhere like South Africa or West coast USA!!

There are such good deals with VH to MCO at the moment!!

The goal as our American Cousins say is to get 'biggest bang for my bucks:D'. Seriously as I am the one paying for it all[}:)][B)] I am just trying to end up with what we need and actually afford to eat and drink when we get to the villa[:(] The joys of having a single parent of 2 young children and a teenager as a daughter[:#][:w]

I hate to say this but have you looked at travelcity direct? They can offer 5+2 leaving on the 20/08/2006 for 14 nights, fly drive to INCLUDE a 8 seater mini van (INCLUDING ALL INSURANCES) for £5332.00

Still sounds a lot, but this is in their Premium cabin (38" Seat Pitch) and considering the time of year I think you are gonna be hard pushed to get a deal better than that other than a last minute one.

Flights from LGW-

Personally speaking if you want that sort of seat pitch I would still go for the VS deal I found you earlier at £660

BTW, according to the fare rule for the VS flights, the children (aged 2-11) fare would be half, so you could be looking at a total of c£4750 for your entire family with VS. This obviously excludes your car.

Thanks Paul for the info, I hadn't considered Travelcity as I would prefer to stay with VA - Various reasons not the least of which is that our son is mentally and physically disabled and they look after us so well:D
