I booked some flights to florida via atlanta for March next year. Our inbound flight is a M class so decided to use some of my miles to upgrade. I've upgraded me and my husband to upper and my 2 teenage kids to premium as there were only 2 upper rewards available. They have had to split my booking into 2 separate bookings with different reference numbers. I did this about 2 months ago and did not received a new E ticket. I have rang flying club 5 times now and they keep saying I should receive a new E ticket within 72hrs but this never happens. After my last call 2 days ago I received a E ticket with just myself and my husband on it but still shows us as economy both ways. Should I receive a new e ticket showing upper class on the inbound flight. I am getting sick of ringing virgin and waiting on hold for up to 30 mins. Has anyone else had any problems like this. ?

What one has to bear in mind is that there is (apparently) only one bod who handles ticketing - and since you're not flying until next March, there will be other pax who are travelling sooner, or imminently, who've made changes and need e-tix reissuing. I would leave it a good couple of weeks before chasing it again - but also check you FC account, has anything appeared on the account to show deduction of miles for the upgrades? It will usually show the date of the flight what type of upgrade such as economy to upper etc and how many miles for each sector - if these haven't appeared on your FC account, then they haven't gone through and you should get straight back on the polari pipe to FC.

If those entries are there, then just play it cool and wait a couple of weeks before hassling them again. You will get the e-tix eventually.

Cheers :)
